The Elder Abuse Prevention Council of Sonoma County

The Elder Abuse Prevention Council (EAPC) is made up of concerned citizens, professionals, service providers, local and state government representatives, and local law enforcement personnel.

The goal of the EAPC is to increase awareness, promote prevention strategies, and reduce the incidence of elder abuse in Sonoma County.

EAPC projects include:

• Attending elder abuse court cases. When appropriate, members publicly comment on outcomes.
• Using the media to increase awareness of elder abuse issues.
• Developing a Speaker's Bureau for presentations on identifying and preventing elder abuse.
